Business Continuity Policy

Business Continuity Policy

Author: Carolyn Claridge

Business Continuity (a.k.a “endurance”) is about building and improving the resilience of your RTO as a business; guaranteeing your sound financial position into the future. The aim is to continue your business operations and enable quick recovery from any type of disruption whether it be economic, environmental or people related.

These past few months have certainly seen the need for us to have such policies in place, with complementary procedures and nominated responsible personnel, to see us through until things return to “normal”. But COVID-19 isn’t the only reason to have such a policy in place within your RTO…

“Disruptions” can be any event that has the potential to damage your RTO and could include natural disasters, global pandemics reducing travel and social interaction (yep, we’ve just had that), power outages, communications/IT outages, theft, supplier failure, data corruption, staff casualty (injury or loss of life) or loss of major client/business, for example.

Please feel free to alter the below FREE POLICY from Finest Compliance, presented as a gift to you and available below to suit your RTO’s set-up and systems. It is left in Word version to enable you to do so without encumbrance, in good faith. And for your comfort, be reassured this policy has passed many of our clients’ ASQA and ISO audits over the past few years.

Finest Compliance provides vocational training consultancy, compliance mentoring, internal auditing and professional development opportunities for RTOs and their compliance staff, trainers and assessors. We are not one of those “commercial” consultancy companies out to “make a quick buck”. We work with integrity and only with RTOs holding the same values as ourselves. Please feel free to contact us for any enquiries.
